Bikash Singh is a licensed
legal practitioner in Nepal with extensive expertise in corporate law,
arbitration, public-private partnerships, equity and finance law. He is
enrolled as a member of the Patan High Court and serves as a Lecturer at the
National Law College, Tribhuvan University.
Bikash is the Founding
Partner of Synergy Law and Chambers Private Limited, where he provides legal
counsel to a wide array of clients, including government-owned public
enterprises engaged in mining, infrastructure, and public-private partnership
projects. His practice encompasses representing clients in civil and criminal
litigation before all levels of courts, arbitral tribunals, quasi-judicial
bodies, and various administrative bodies. In addition, he offers corporate
legal advisory services to entities operating in diverse sectors such as
banking, information technology, manufacturing, sports, and event management.
His areas of specialization include commercial negotiation, legal due
diligence, corporate restructuring, employment law, tax advisory, advertising
law, and matters relating to corporate governance and compliance.
Prior to founding his current practice, Bikash has an extensive work experience in drafting and negotiation of construction contracts based on FIDIC and NEC standards for major infrastructure and hydropower projects. His notable work includes acting as counsel in high-value cross-border financing transactions, including the USD 1.8 billion financing of the Arun-III Hydropower Project and the USD 453 million Upper-Trishuli 1 Project. Bikash also contributed to key legal publications and policy initiatives, including the drafting of Nepal’s Model Bilateral Investment Treaty and the Ecommerce Bill. He has participated in advanced legal trainings and seminars on private equity, venture capital, and infrastructure project management, both domestically and internationally.
